BUS-GoCircular project releases two insightful articles, each addressing crucial aspects of circular construction practices.

Mitigating Urban Heat Islands: Albedo Measurements of Construction Products
The first article, delves into the pressing issue of urban heat islands. The study discusses on-site measurements of the albedo of various construction products and their potential role in mitigating the heat island effect. Urban heat islands, characterized by elevated temperatures in urban areas compared to their rural surroundings, pose environmental challenges. The article explores innovative approaches to reduce this effect and enhance the sustainability of urban environments. This article (available only in Croatian) can be accessed here.

Task-Based Qualification Framework for Circular Skills in Construction
In the second article, the BUS-GoCircular project introduces a task-based qualification framework for circular skills in the construction industry. This framework aims to facilitate the integration of circular practices into construction processes. Notably, the article outlines the application of this framework in developing training plans for both trainers and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This initiative aligns with the project’s commitment to fostering circular economy principles within the construction sector. This article is available in English here.
